Daphnie Yang is a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and the creator of HIIT IT! NYC's Ultimate High Intensity Interval Training Workout. Growing up in sunny Northern California, exercise and fitness have always been a huge part of Daphnie’s life. Whether it was dance, soccer, swimming, hiking or long distance running, you name it, she did it. A self- proclaimed "girly tomboy", Daphnie developed an appreciation for living actively and healthfully at a young age because frankly, she loved how awesome it made her feel.

Daphnie moved from the Bay Area to New York City in 2003 to attend New York University. Upon graduating in 2007 with a BFA in Dance and Theatre Arts, Daphnie decided to turn her passion for health/wellness into a career and devote her life to helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

After college Daphnie became a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and began her personal training, coaching and group fitness career.


In 2011 Daphnie became the head race coach for Team Challenge, a marathon training/fundraising organization benefitting the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America. With Team Challenge, Daphnie has coached hundreds of walkers and runners of all fitness levels to proudly cross the finish line.

In October of 2013 Daphnie created and launched her High Intensity Interval Training workout, HIIT IT! HIIT IT! combines strength, cardio, core, mobility and agility moves performed in a High Intensity Interval Training format for a fun, total body workout designed for people of all fitness levels and athletic abilities. Daphnie and her team of instructors teach HIIT IT! classes at studio spaces throughout the city.


Daphnie has helped hundreds of people achieve balance and wellness in their day to day lives. She has a passion for creating safe, inclusive, positive and motivating environments for all students to feel welcome and comfortable in. She believes everyone deserves the right to fitness, health and wellness. With her positive energy and her warm, welcoming, sunny and bright personality, Daphnie loves working with people of all ages, shapes, sizes, genders and athletic abilities.
